Contessi Ballet

The Northbay Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) has

a highly talented and professional staff of trained and

experienced performers. Formed by Marcella Contessi

Smith over thirty years ago, Contessi Ballet was the first

ballet school in Petaluma. Mrs. Smith, a native of Florence,

Italy, believes in the classical tenets of talent and hard work

when it comes to learning dance. The school's alumni have

gone on to study at prestigious schools in San Francisco,

Canada, and Washington DC.

In two studios adults and children can be enriched by classic

Contessi Ballet, Modern, and Lyrical. Also enjoy Hip Hop,

Zumba, Bellydance, Ballroom, and Romani Gypsy dance for
